A Teacher's Tool Belt

My brother, Craig, who teaches in the Boston Public Schools, taught me the analogy of a tool belt early in his career.  He literally wore a toolbelt in his middle school classroom, a room with hardwood floors and tall ceilings which echoed the diverse languages of his young students.  He felt that he could eliminate his students' excuses with quick problems he could solve with the resources stashed away in his toolbelt  (bandaid, Mr. Melzer? an erase, Mr. Melzer? sticky note, Mr?).  His tool belt is analogous for me because a teacher who is mindful about their craft is always open to adding resources to their, for lack of a better term, toolbelt.  Hopefully, you will appreciate this website as an element to access to hone your craft, too.
